Cylinder BLock Fungtion

• L engine head block contains openings for valves and valve port.
• Bottom of the block support the crankshaft and also oil. In most of the engine camshaft supported in the cylinder block with the bushing into the hole in the block machine.
• Intake and exhaust manifold attached to the side of the cylinder block on the L-head in-line engine.at the head of the engine manifold attached to the cylinder head. Other parts are attached to the block include water sump (in front), or the timing gear timing chain cover (front), flywheel and clutch (in the back), the distribution of ignition and fuel pump.
• Some parts are attached to the cylinder with a sealing gasket that provides a seal serves as a deterrent leakage of water, oil or gas.
• Some parts are attached with bolts and others with studs and nuts. In some places, lock washer placed under the nut or bolt head.
• Air cooled engines have passages surrounding each cylinder, valves and spark plugs. Air circulating maintain the engine at the correct temperature and to avoid excessive expansion and hence distortion, eventually preventing foreclosures moving parts relative.
